The Lakes

The lakes are three stunningly beautiful turquoise coloured lakes bordered by pine forests and are just a 40 minute drive away from the Finca (a little beyond El Chorro Gorge). A tranquil retreat where you can swim or fish, or hire a pedalo from the lake shore. Set in a National Park, the lakes are simply stunning.

Let the images on the right tell their own story! Fantastic, beautiful, tranquil, stunning, a Spanish secret not well discovered by tourists! Whether you fancy a morning coffee at the local venta overlooking the lakes, lunch at El Mirador or your own picnic in one of the many picnic areas near the lakes, we cannot recommend it enough.
Park your car in the official carpark and then take a gentle stroll through this spectacular national park, with amazing rock formations to your right, and the stunning torquoise lakes to your left. Drop off for a coffee at The Kiosk overlooking the lakes, and continue your stroll to the Kings Chair, built for the official opening of El Chorro. Then wander past the lakes, with stunning waters and schools of fish, before returning to El Mirador for lunch, or your own picnic. Raise a glass to this beautiful secret location in Inland Andalucia!
